Build On Last Year's Success
Over 300 material handling distributor member companies participated in MHEDA University education programs during 2007, including more than 1,000 individuals. During the year, the MHEDA University calendar included three live seminars—Objective Based Selling, Rental and Used Equipment Management and Strategies for Selling Storage & Handling and Engineered Systems—as well as 13 different teleconferences and webinars. MHEDA also partnered with Association Education Alliance (AEA) to bring members the highly acclaimed Young Distribution Professionals Conference, the ever-popular Habit of Selling and four additional webinars.
MHEDA is grateful for the support of the many members who served as speakers during 2007, including Richard Donnelly of Gregory Poole Equipment Company (Raleigh, NC), Fred Oram of Oram Material Handling Systems (Kansas City, KS), Dave Baiocchi and Audie Burgan of J.M. Equipment (Modesto, CA), Mike Romano of Associated Material Handling Industries (Carol Stream, IL), Greg Morrison of Morrison Industrial Equipment Company (Grand Rapids, MI), Dave Griffith of Modern Group Ltd. These members receive no compensation from MHEDA and deserve our sincere thanks and gratitude for their willingness to share their knowledge and experience. Thank you!
We are enthusiastic about the 2008 MHEDA U calendar and the variety of offerings available to members, which includes a mix of live programs, webinars and videoconferences.

On behalf of the MHEDA staff, I also want to acknowledge and thank the MHEDA Board of Directors who tirelessly and selflessly give of their personal time and resources to make MHEDA what it is today. We are grateful for their insight and direction, which enables us to plan programs that meet the needs of the membership at large. We especially want to express our gratitude to 53, a.k.a. John Cosgrove, MHEDA's 53rd president, for all his contributions throughout his term of office. And we extend a big MHEDA welcome to Jack Phelan as he takes over the helm this year.
MHEDA Members, we appreciate your support and involvement and want to hear your comments and suggestions. Here’s to a great year for the material handling industry and its association!
